234&That / WhatsApp automation
A WhatsApp front desk that answers while you work.
234&That builds WhatsApp automations for Nigerian businesses: a front desk that answers the routine questions — price ranges, hours, directions, "do you fix this?" — books drop-offs and appointments, and passes every real conversation to you with the customer's details attached. Three to five days to build, one fixed price.
Why WhatsApp, not a contact form
Nigerian customers do not fill in forms; they send a WhatsApp message and wait. If the reply takes three hours because you were with a customer, they have already messaged two competitors. A front desk replies in seconds with the answer they asked for, and you pick up only the conversations that need you.
Real client work: DelsonsTech
DelsonsTech is a device-repair workshop on Victoria Island, Lagos — MacBooks, consoles, speakers, board-level repair. Enquiries were arriving across personal numbers and an old directory listing with the wrong address. We gave them one advertised business number and a WhatsApp front desk built on their real price list: a customer picks a device and fault and gets the price band, the warranty terms, hours and directions. A customer who wants a person, or books a drop-off, is pushed straight to the owner's own WhatsApp with their name, number and fault.
It came with a new website at delsonstech.com and a corrected Google Business Profile, so search, Maps and WhatsApp all point to the same number and the same address.
What we build
- Front desk / enquiry bot — your services and prices, hours, location, the questions you are tired of answering.
- Bookings and orders — appointments, drop-offs, table bookings or menu orders, with the details sent to you or your staff.
- Reminders — appointment and collection reminders that cut no-shows.
- Lead capture — every enquiry from your ads, website and Instagram logged with where it came from.
- Missed-call reply — a customer who rings while you are busy gets a WhatsApp message back instead of silence.
Fixed price after a short brief. Smaller builds are invoiced in full on commissioning; larger ones 60% on signing and 40% on delivery. Tell us what your customers ask most.
What it will not do
It will not pretend to be a person, and it will not make up an answer it was not given. If a customer asks something outside what you have told it, it says so and hands the conversation to you. A bot that guesses a price is worse than no bot.
Questions
Can a WhatsApp bot answer my customers for me?
It can answer the questions you get fifty times a week — prices or price ranges, opening hours, location and directions, what you do and do not handle — and capture the customer's details. The moment a conversation needs a person, it hands it to you with the customer's name, number and what they asked, so nothing is left waiting.
Do I need the WhatsApp Business API?
For a real bot, yes: it runs on Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API on a dedicated business number. Registering a number with the API takes it off the WhatsApp app on that phone for good, so we use a fresh number rather than the line you already chat from. Your personal and existing shop lines are untouched.
How long does it take to set up?
Three to five days of build. Meta's business verification and number approval run on Meta's schedule and can add days to that; we start the paperwork on day one.
What does it cost to run?
The build is a fixed price. Running costs are Meta's own conversation charges, billed to your account, plus hosting. Customer-initiated service conversations are free under Meta's current pricing, which covers most of what a front-desk bot does.
Can it send appointment reminders?
Yes. Reminders and status updates go out as Meta-approved message templates, because WhatsApp only allows free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer's last message.
Send us your site. We'll tell you what's wrong with it, free.
A two-minute recording of your own site loading on a phone, with the three things that would fix it. No pitch first.
